Permibot

Answers from your project's sources. Changes only with your approval.

Permibot, the AI Permit Assistant, answers your permit questions from your project's own requirements and their sources. It reads the text of the PDFs you attach, like a survey or the department's review comments, and keeps your task list moving. Rules it finds go to a permit technician, and once verified, every later project in that town starts with them. When the sources don't answer a question, it says so and brings in a permit technician.

How Permibot works

Ask about your project. Get the answer and its source.

Permibot

418 Prairie Glen Rd · Detached garage

A sample exchange on a made-up village's rules.
  • Answers from your project's sources

The requirements, the code sections behind them and the files on the record. Every answer shows where it came from.

  • Reads the PDFs you attach

The text of a survey, plan notes or the department's review letter becomes part of the answer.

  • Prepares the next step, you approve

A task, a crew comment or a status change. Nothing changes until you say so.

  • Learns from every verified project

When Permibot finds a rule the record is missing, it sends it with its source to a permit technician. Once verified, every later project in that town starts with it.

  • Brings in a permit technician

When the sources don't answer it, Permibot says so and a Permitech permit technician picks it up.

How it works

From the first step to the last

  1. Open it inside a project

In a Permit Workspace, Permibot works from that project's facts, approvals, tasks and documents. Contractor teams also get an account-wide Permibot.

  2. Agree to how data is used

Before the first question, a short notice names the AI provider and explains that only the context a request needs is shared.

  3. Ask and attach

Ask in plain language. Attach a PDF, like a survey or the department's review comments, and Permibot reads its text with your question.

  4. Approve what changes

Permibot can prepare a task, a crew comment or a status change. Nothing changes until you approve it.

  5. Bring in a person

When the sources run out, Permibot says so and hands the question to a permit technician.

What you see

What it can do in a project

  • Answer from sources

Answers trace back to the project's sources, with uncertainty shown.

  • Read attached PDFs

The text of surveys, plan notes and department letters you attach.

  • Prepare changes

Add or update a checklist task, post a crew comment, or change a project's status, each with your approval.

  • Suggest a requirement

A new requirement, with its source and quote, goes to a permit technician. Once verified, every later project in that town starts with it.

  • For contractor teams

Portfolio status, license and insurance dates, your jurisdictions and the property map, across every project.

Plainly

What Permibot won't do

  • It doesn't file permits, submit to portals or contact the building department. Filing is Done For You or Concierge.
  • It doesn't change anything on its own. Every change needs a person's approval.
  • Its answers are not official determinations. AI output can be incomplete, so the sources stay one click away.
  • A project chat only sees that project.
