Custom workflows / commercial and multi-market

Custom permit workflows for commercial and multi-market teams.

Building something we don't list? Permitech builds the permit workflow around your work: the jurisdictions you build in, the approvals each job needs, and the people on your team.

Priority jurisdictions calibrated during onboarding

Per account

Scoped by markets, permit mix, volume and service level

Who it fits

Teams whose work doesn't fit a standard project type.

Self-serve project types cover residential work today. When your jobs are larger, repeat across many markets, or need approvals beyond the building permit, the workflow is built for you instead.

Commercial and general contractors

New builds, tenant improvements and mixed-use work, where one job can carry building, zoning, fire and trade approvals.

Multi-market builders and dealers

The same product in dozens of jurisdictions, each with its own forms, setbacks and review times.

Specialty and energy contractors

Solar, battery, generator and EV charging work, where electrical permits and utility steps set the schedule.

Developers and project managers

Know a site's approval path before the drawings are paid for, and keep every approval on one record after.

What we build

One workflow, built from the pieces your work needs.

Each piece runs on Permitech today. A custom workflow decides which ones you get, in which jurisdictions, and who on your team sees what.

Calibrated jurisdictions

Permit technicians research and verify the jurisdictions you work in most before your first job, so requirements, fees and review times are ready when you bid.

Approvals mapped by job type

For each kind of job you run, we map which approvals it needs and whether zoning or trade review sits inside the building permit or is its own filing.

Parcel checks on every job

Zoning district, setbacks, easements, flood zones and wetlands checked on the parcel, with the sources behind each answer.

Documents and site plans

Site plans drawn to scale from the aerial in Site Plan Studio, document checklists, and packets organized for each authority.

Filing and follow-up

Where it is in scope, our permit desk files, follows up with the department, handles corrections and coordinates inspections.

Tracking across jobs

Every permit in every jurisdiction on one board in Control Tower, shared by estimating, project management and the field.

How it starts

From the first call to the first permit.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the work

Your markets, job types, monthly permit volume and who runs permits today. The form below takes a few minutes.

  2. 02

    We scope it with you

Which jurisdictions to calibrate first, which approvals each job type needs, and what Permitech handles versus what your team keeps.

  3. 03

    We calibrate before go-live

Permit technicians research and verify your priority jurisdictions, typically 25 to 50, so the first jobs start from verified requirements.

  4. 04

    Your jobs run through it

Jobs move through the Permit Workspace and Control Tower, and our permit desk takes the filings in scope.

API access and custom builds

Permit data inside the apps you already run.

Some teams want Permitech's answers where their people already work. API access is set up per account as part of a custom workflow, scoped to the data you need and the apps you connect. There is no self-serve key today: tell us the app and what it should show, and we scope the connection with you.

When the work needs more than a connection, we build it: a workflow for a job type we don't list, reports in your format, an intake that feeds your jobs into Permitech, or a view for your own customers. Each build is scoped on a call and priced with the workflow.

Request API access or a build

Apps teams ask to connect

  • Estimating and bids

Requirements, fees and review times in the bid before it goes out.

  • CRM and sales

The jurisdiction and approval path as soon as a lead's address comes in.

  • Project management and scheduling

Each job's permit stage next to the schedule it holds up.

  • Field and inspection apps

The inspections a job needs, in the app the crew already opens.

  • Accounting

Permit fees tied to the job they belong to.

  • Reporting and dashboards

Permit volume and time in review across markets, in your own reports.

  • GIS and site selection

Zoning and parcel checks on candidate sites before you commit.

Before you reach out

Where we work

Verified coverage today is Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana, expanding state by state. Tell us where you build and we will tell you plainly what we can support.

Who decides

The building department still reviews and decides. Permitech prepares, files and follows up; the approval stays with the jurisdiction.

What it costs

Team plans start at $249 a month. A custom scope is priced once we understand the work, after a call.
